Vocabulary Component - Teacher and Student Screen

1. Before using the Vocabulary component, you must enter a student's words from the Word Attack component or add from the Class Management section (see class management). To add from Word Attack, select WAT.

2. From the Word Attack component, select the pencil icon. That will bring up the student's information.

3. Select the down arrow to expand the student's current WAT list.

4. The word list will appear and each word will have the option to Add to Vocab. Select that option to load the word(s) into the Vocabulary component for that student.

5. Once words have been added, select the X to close out of the word

6. To begin Vocabulary instruction, select Vocabulary from the menu on the left.

7. The check icon is available to see if there is any student work that needs to be completed.

8. If there is no red dot present, you will receive the notification that there is nothing to grade. Select close.

9. Once a session has begun, the teacher may choose which activities they want the student to complete for each word by selecting the Pencil icon.

11. To deselect an activity, simply click on the pin to remove it.

12. If you unpin an activity and would like to pin it back, simply click the box and the pin will reappear to assign that activity to the student.

13. Once any necessary edits have been made to the activities, select Close to return to the Vocabulary screen.

14. Select Start Vocabulary to allow the student to begin working. This must be selected for each individual student.

15. Student Screen - Once the teacher has selected Start Vocabulary, the students' individual activities will appear on their screen. To complete the first activity, select the notecard.

16. The student types their response and selects Save.

18. The student has the ability to select the reverse circle icon to remove any unwanted marks.

20. Once the student has completed the drawing, they must select Save.

31. Once the response has been edited, the student will Submit the activity again for grading.
