Turning on Assessment (Word Attack and Spelling)

Assessment for the following components:

  • Word Attack - Automatically on for a new term for a student
  • Spelling - Automatically on for a new term for a student



Word Attack Component - Teacher Screen

  •  Go to https://rap.one95.app

  • Once logged in, from the student management screen you will select Word Attack.

5. Select the gear to the right of the student's name to access Word Attack settings.

6. Note whether assessment is ON or OFF (see assessment section for more information), turn drawing ON or OFF for the student, and select the number of words per turn student's will read during the component.

7. Select close to return to the Word Attack component screen.

8. Select the Pencil to the right of the student's name to view or change list.

9. Selecting the pencil allows the teacher to see current Word Attack lists, mastered lists, and upcoming lists in the scope and sequence.

10. Select the down arrow to see the list of words.

11. You can scroll to see each word on the list, see status of each word, and add the word to vocabulary. To set a current skill, select Set as Baseline. To skip the list for the student at any point, select Skip. To repeat a list or clear history, select Reset.

12. To exit the pop-up, select the X in the top right corner.

14. Current word lists and status for each student will appear on the screen. The green fuel gauge indicates the percentage of the current list completed. Select the arrow icon to move between students to review the rule and suggestions for marking words.

15. Once each list has been reviewed for each student, select OK to get to the main Word Attack screen.

16. View timer to help with pacing during the component. The timer will turn yellow when the minimum time has been reached and will turn red when the maximum time has been reached.

21. Select the student's name to load the student information screen to view Word Attack lists.

23. Score student response by selecting check, h, or dot.

24. To skip a student for that turn, select Skip Student.

25. Once student responses have been recorded, select Next to go to the next student.

26. Select Save & Exit when the component is complete.

27. As students move through the scope and sequence, the teacher will be alerted when their list is changing. You have the option to change the list, especially if it is a practice list, or select Ok to continue with the next list in the scope and sequence.

28. At the end of the component, all items introduced during that session will display on the teacher screen. The total number of items with check, h, or dot is totaled at the bottom of the screen. Select Save & Exit to exit the WAT component.

Word Attack Assessment


1. Assessment starts automatically for a new 95 RAP group. The assessment can be started by the teacher at any time but is not recommended to be turned on during the year because data will be deleted. The gear icon allows you to see assessment status.

5. During assessment, a yellow bar appears across the top of the screen to indicate you are working in assessment with that student. Otherwise, the operation of the app for assessment is the same as instruction.

13. When you're ready to end assessment for the day, select Save and Exit. Assessment will resume where you left off the following session. Assessment will stop automatically and start instruction once the student's skill level has been identified.

Word Attack Component - Student Screen



1. Go to https://rap.one95.app

2. Students select Student to log in.

3. Type in the 6-digit pin provided by the teacher and select Connect.

6. Once the teacher begins the Word Attack Component, the student's information will appear on their screen. Students can see current list with the rule and suggested markings, how much of the list has been completed, and upcoming lists.
