Group Comprehension - Teacher and Student Screen

1. To begin Group Comprehension, select Comprehension from the menu on the left.

2. Select Start Comprehension in the bottom right corner of the screen to begin group comprehension. The whole group will be working on the same story.

3. The students' individual comprehension levels are listed across the top of the screen as well as the 95 RAP Decodable Reader Book numbers.

4. The app will select a story based on the middle of the group's WAT levels. The selected story will be highlighted gray.

5. To select a different story, select the story for the group. It will turn gray to indicate the selection.

6. Select Start to begin Group Comprehension.

7. On the teacher screen, you will see the phonetic (not underlined) and high frequency words (underlined). Review these prior to reading the story. The story is below. You may have to scroll to see the story in its entirety.

8. Questions for the group are seen on the right side of the screen. Teacher will enter a score for student responses. You can mark as many or as few as necessary. It is not required that each student has a mark for each question.

9. Score the questions appropriately and select Next Question.

10. If the teacher needs to go back to a question for any reason, select Previous Question.

11. To complete the story and move onto the next story in the scope and sequence, select Next Story.

12. If you do not want to complete the story, select No. Otherwise, select Yes to move onto the next story.

13. To end Group Comprehension, select Save & Exit.
