Fluency From a List - Teacher and Student Screen

1. Select Fluency from the menu on the left.

2. Select the student to start first by selecting the number 1 beside their name.


3. Select the pencil icon to view student's mastered, current, or upcoming lists.

7. The teacher has the option to Skip a list, Restart, or Set as Current List.

8. The fluency graph provides the teacher with previous reading scores as well as highlights the student's goal for that particular list. The yellow star indicates the student has met the goal with three or fewer errors.

9. Select the X to close out of the student's fluency graph.

10. Select Start Fluency to begin word list fluency.

11. The timer is shown in the top right corner of the teacher screen.

12. Select the play button to start the timer. If the teacher needs to restart the practice minute for any reason, select the circular arrow icon to the right of the play button.

13. Select End Review after the practice minute is up. You can also select End Review if you are pressed for time or pause during the practice minute.

14. The student's fluency graph and history will be shown. Be sure to review goals prior to beginning. The yellow star indicates that the student met the goal for that reading. When ready to begin, select Begin Activity.

15. STUDENT SCREEN - Words highlighted in yellow are words missed from the previous session. Be sure to review those for each student during the practice minute.

16. STUDENT SCREEN - The line with the number indicates the student's goal line. John must read through his list one time and on the second reading, reach the word "cube" with three or fewer errors to meet his goal.

19. When the student is ready for their timed reading, select Start.

22. The word will turn yellow on the teacher's screen. If a student skips a word, tap or click the word twice.

26. Once the timed minute is up, select Next.

32. If the teacher deems it appropriate to Redo a list, they have the option to do so. The teacher may also need to Change Results in the event they forgot to select Read Again or the word count seems off.

33. The teacher has the ability to adjust the goal. Up arrow increases the goal, the down arrow decreases the goal.

34. STUDENT SCREEN - The student can select the color of choice to color their graph.

35. STUDENT SCREEN - If the student wants to remove a marking, they can select the back circular arrow. Alternately, they can also select the trashcan icon to remove all markings.
