Some students may take longer to master their lower-level gap WAT lists (especially if they missed a few consonant sounds in their assessment, which prompts them to read stories at the WAT 005 level), and are also working on CC Digraphs (WAT 104).
It is important to remember that in 95 RAP, the Comprehension component is a chance for the student to practice the phonics rule they're working on in a connected text and not a time for grade-level work.
- To override the picking logic for comprehension stories, you can set a handful of stories as the Next Story. (Setting 10 stories is often a safe number to hold your student over for a couple of class periods.)
- As long as you have a "Next Story" chosen, you'll have control over which story is given until the student has mastered their gap lists. At that point, you'll be able to go back to having the app choose the stories.
