Why doesn't my student have the same words as their last attempt for Fluency from a List?

Modified on Sun, 10 Sep, 2023 at 4:10 PM

There are two factors that select the words chosen for a student's Fluency from a List attempt.

  1. Words are randomized for each attempt so the student doesn't memorize their words
  2. The number of words displayed is chosen by the student's screen size and their chosen text size.
    • This means that students often see 20-40 words on their screen based on if they're using an iPad mini, Chromebook, etc, and if they've chosen for their words to be displayed larger based on their personal vision requirements.
    • This also prevents a student from having to scroll up or down in the middle of their timed attempt.
    • Some of our lists have 60+ words, so they might not see the same exact set of words on each attempt.
